Made for one sole reason: People have found me and bugged the hell out of me as of late with their comments about pairings I happen to like. It's popped up on my art for my favorite TP pairings. And to be honest I'm tired of it.

Everyone has their own preferences for pairings. Deal with it. Your opinion is your own. You can believe what you want to believe when it gets right down to it. No one says you have to think a certain way.

I'm tired of comments like:

"Ew Shad's ugly and such a nerd. Zelda should be with Link!"
"Link shouldn't be with Midna!!0ne!1 That pairing is gross! ZeLink forever!"
"Ilia's a dumb bitch she should just die!" (Now that I agree on but still, besides the point)
"Lololo I hate Midna. She's a dumb bitch. She belongs with Zant who's as stupid and ugly as her. LOLOLOL"

It's comments like this that make me angry. EVEN if it's not on my art I hate seeing it. People need to learn to respect others. I may hate certain pairings/characters but you don't see me flaming innocent people over it when they like a pairing/character I hate. It really is stupid. WHY do you even look at something you know you hate? Why bother commenting even?

For further example: ~Twili-Imp21 writes and draws for Ganondorf/Zelda. ZeLink fans have been known to beat her up over it. Just because one has different views doesn't mean you need to hate. Twili's a very lovable girl and I couldn't be happier to know her, even if I'm not entirely comfortable with some of her pairing choices.


Let me believe what I want to believe and I'll be happy to let you believe what you want to.

Stop the couples extremism. Seriously. Grow the fuck up. The world doesn't revolve around you. You're not a religious figure. You're not the almighty ruler of the world. You're JUST A HUMAN BEING. Everyone has different views. Go be productive and chat with people who share your beliefs and views instead of arguing against others.

In this sort of situation, it's best to utterly confuse and embarrass them. Write a very long, exhaustive post on respect, and your opinions, and theirs (if it's long enough you can just start swearing in the middle. They probably won't read it anyway, and hence won't notice) or whatever you want, pretty much. Afterwords, watch them post a reply and completely fail to address any issues you brought up! Don't get mad at them, embarrass them because they don't know what you're talking about. Heck, write one and then copy paste it whenever you need it. It's funny!

That being said, I agree with your viewpoint. Don't judge your opinion of people based entirely on their opinions.

I've never had any preference ever, but I still hate it when people are dumb and try to change other's opinions by telling them that their opinion is stupid.

I never really understood how people can get so bent out of shape over pairings. Pairing wars really get on my nerves, mainly because these are fictional characters. Granted, I do have my preferences, just like everyone else, but before I let people get to me, I just sit back and shake my head over how ridiculous the whole thing is. I mean, yes, these games are meant for a source of entertainment, for an outlet of the imagination, but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, the world isn't going to end if so and so doesn't end up with so and so.

I do agree with you, though. If we all just agreed to disagree, we would the avoiding a whole mess of headaches.
